About the DMT

David Minor Theater & Pub

Eugene’s First, Best & Only Brew Theater

We opened The David Minor Theater & Pub October 18, 2008.
The idea: Show great movies in high definition with state-of-the-art audio and visual equipment and offer people fresh cold beer on tap from local brewers and dinner too. The result is a uniquely enjoyable movie theater experience not found anywhere else in Eugene.

A UNIQUE EXPERIENCE

The David Minor Theater shows New Releases as well as Classics and Cult-films in two very special theater halls.
Theater One seats about 50 people in a setting similar to a mainstream movie theater room but with couches for the front row. There are also small tables at the end of each row that you can move closer to your seat to use while you eat your dinner if you want.
The Livingroom Theater seats about 16 people in a cozy room filled with couches and recliner chairs as well as places to place food and beverages. Both theaters feature large projection screens and full state-of-the-art surround sound systems.

DINNER MENU

Enjoy great food while watching your movie! Our menu currently features food from three nearby 5th Street restaurants, Café Lucky Noodle, Cornucopia and Granary Pizza.
Choose from appetizers, salads, sandwiches, burgers, pizzas and more. There’s also plenty of vegetarian options as well.

BEER ON TAP

Our taps have favorites and seasonal micro-brews from local brewers, Ninkasi, Oakshire and Hop Valley. We also keep Bud Light in the fridge and usually a wine-cooler selection as well. Ask us about our current seasonal beer on tap!

WINE SELECTION

We keep a nice selection of red and white wines by regional wineries and semi-regularly bring in new wines that we find that we quite like. Ask about our current selection and what we recommend.

DO I NEED TO BE 21 JUST TO SEE A MOVIE?

The DMT is technically classed the same as a Pub, so yes, you will be carded when you enter and you do need to be 21+, even if you are not ordering any drinks. No exceptions can be made.

WEEKLY SPECIALS!

$2 TICKETS on Tuesday and Sunday!

Thirsty Thursday: On Thursdays you can get your refill of any beverage in any size for only $1! (One $1 refill per full priced beverage.)

LOST AND FOUND

If you think you may have left something behind at the theater, we do have a lost and found. When we find something in the theater we hang onto it and will happily return your lost item to you if you can correctly describe it.

WHO IS DAVID MINOR?

The David Minor Theater honors the life of Eugene man, David Minor. David, a long-time friend of theater owner, Josh Goldfarb, was killed in a bicycle accident at age 27 in June of 2008. Because of David’s passion for local sustainability initiatives, his family has requested a memorial fund be established in his name to support the work of the Willamette Farm and Food Coalition. The David Minor Memorial Fund remains in a special account until the Minor family determines which aspect of WFFC’s work, or a specific project, they would like to dedicate to David’s memory.

The new site looks great! Did you spell “comming” that way on purpose on the home page? :)

Some shows we do, Theater 2 seats 16 people and if that fills up we have an overflow room that can seat 5-6 people. Our larger theater, Theater 1, can seat 50 people. Depending on the films popularity movies can definitely sell out. We recommend showing up 15 minutes before showtime to ensure a seat.
